Extended Release/Long-Acting Opioids: Achieving Safe Use While Improving Patient Care
Jointly sponsored with the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the California Academy of Family Physicians
(Free for all physicians. Registration is limited and pre-registration required. Box lunch included.)
In April 2011, FDA announced a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) to ensure that the benefits of extended-release and long-acting (ER/LA) opioid analgesics outweigh the risks. The FDA encourages all prescribers of ER/LA opioids to attend a formal REMS training, such as this workshop. (Faculty TBD. 3.5 CME Credits)
